THE PROBLEM

Previously, a customer on a PDP had no seamless way to shop the other items shown in the On Figure Photography (OFP).

It would take a customer over 6 clicks to arrive at a product on the model, which was source of friction and frustration that may be resulting in missed upsell opportunities.

THE CHALLENGE

How might we connect customers to available products as seen in the on-figure photography in a frictionless way from the PDP?

DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS

  1. Location
Where on the page should we indicate the shoppability of the alternate items?

  2. Indication
How should we indicate the shoppability of the other items?

  3. Interaction
What should happen when the customer engages with the shoppable items?

  4. Unavailable Items
How should we handle unavailable items?

PROCESS SKETCHES, WIREFRAMES, AND DESIGNS

THE SOLUTION

The solution is a "Shop this Look" accordion directly under the product images, providing customers with immediate access to products while they browse.

User tests of multiple designs indicated this “Shop this Look” solution underneath the photography was the most discoverable amongst participants, and the most technically feasible in a short timeline.
